Bugworks

Lubber Grasshopper, Bald Faced Hornet, and the Giant Waterbug. These 3-dimensional studies were created for an exhibit "Bugworks" at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, Pa. The exhibit's goal is to inspire curiosity for kids of all ages by offering a glimpse into the world of insects.

These studies are intended to demonstrate how one can better understand the variety of shapes/patterns/relationships in nature, by analyzing and re-constructing what they observe into simplified geometry or "sketch models".
